My Sister’s House Announces Leadership Changes
Interim Executive Director Yen Marshall Named Chief Executive Officer
Christine Nguyen Joins Organization as Chief Operating Officer

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – August 15, 2024 – The My Sister’s House Board of Directors welcomes a new executive team to lead the organization into the future. In July, the Board approved new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer roles, sharing responsibilities for organizational leadership.

Yen Marshall, who has been serving as interim Executive Director, will step into the CEO role. Marshall has been a longtime supporter and leader of the organization, serving on the Board of Directors from 2013-2022. She brings a wealth of experience in leading dynamic teams and a strong dedication to community service to the role. Marshall has been honored as an “AAPI Changemaker” by the Sacramento Bee, and was named a “Women Who Mean Business” honoree by the Sacramento Business Journal.

Christine Nguyen has been selected to serve as the organization’s COO. Nguyen brings nearly two decades of non-profit experience, most recently as Director of Services for Child Action, Inc. in Sacramento.

Dividing leadership responsibilities between these two new positions will ensure the sustainability of the organization’s mission to support underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in the Sacramento region with culturally appropriate shelter opportunities, employment training, legal, counseling and community services.

My Sister’s House is grateful for the strong continued community support throughout their organizational leadership transition. Throughout this transition, their commitment to the community has never wavered.

Both will report directly to the My Sister’s House Board of Directors.
