What is My Sister’s Café?
The mission of My Sister’s House has always been to serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training and community services.
My Sister’s Café supports that mission while addressing one of the biggest hurdles preventing women from leaving their tough situations — financial freedom. The café helps domestic violence survivors not only “get back on their feet” financially, but also provides them with a safe space to learn interpersonal skills and build back their confidence.
